"A big event I've attended"

18th Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Glasgow 2010.

I attended Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity 2 days ago. It was my first time to attend it in Glasgow. The Great Orchestra Charity plays abroad everywhere, where Polish people live. The Foundation is an organisation which is run by Jurek Owsiak. This brings us together by listen to music together, having fun and collecting money for children with cancer.

I went there with my daughter. It was a special party for children. They weared funny costumes and it was so difficult to recognise them. My daughter looked like real princess with her beautiful costume. Kids were dancing, singing and winning prizes. During the party some voluntaries were collecting money and children could help raising money to special intended for this cans. There was also a bazaar, where children could bring and sell their old toys and buy “new one”. Parents brought Polish delicacies for sale, like: home made cakes, Polish dishes, sweets and soft drinks. All collected money was put into the one big box and destined for children with cancer in Poland. All of us got heart-shaped stickers which we can stick on a costume or t-sirt.

I'm very happy I attended this year's Charity because I know I made something good for the needy, sick and suffering children from cancer. At the same time I taught my daughter how easily it to help needy people, even by having fun.
