"The Great Gatsby" F.S.Fitzgerald - colour symbolism

In the spring of 1925 F. Scott Fitzgerald published his best novel The Great Gatsby. Since then it is the most famous American book about the 1920’s. Fitzgerald used many literary devices to embrace his believes about the people of this time period. I will focus on color symbolism, the most popular technique in this book.

To start with, cigarettes smoke may disturb other people. When a non-smoker person is compelled to breathe in smoke he or she may cough.

"Sophie's World" - a book which inspired me

Among a vast number of books I have read in my life, there are less than few titles which deserve to be labeled as sources of my inspiration. If I was to choose the one which had the greatest impact on my way of thinking, for sure it would be ?Sophie's World? by Jostein Gaarder.

The plot is concentrated around fourteen-year-old Norwegian girl called Sophie.
